About ToolTriage
ToolTriage tests small-business software so you don't pay for the wrong one.
Choosing software is harder than it should be. Every tool's website says it's the best. Pricing pages hide what you'll really pay once your list or team grows. And most "best tools" lists are written by people who never logged in.
We do it differently. Before we recommend anything, we sign up, use it for real tasks, and write down what happened: what it costs, what it does well, and what annoyed us.
Who we write for
Small-business owners, solo founders and small teams (roughly 1 to 20 people) who want to:
- stop overpaying for tools they barely use
- switch away from a tool that stopped working for them
- set up email, a website or simple automation without a week of research
What we cover
- Email marketing & newsletters: Mailchimp alternatives, Kit, beehiiv, Moosend and more
- Websites & funnels: website builders, funnel tools and online stores
- AI & automation: AI chatbots, automation platforms and time-saving workflows
Why "triage"?
Triage means sorting what matters first. That's our job: sort the tools into "worth it", "worth it for some people" and "skip it", so you can decide in minutes instead of weeks.
How we make money
Some links on ToolTriage are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That's how we pay for the subscriptions we test. It never decides our verdict: we point out the cons of tools we recommend, and we tell people when a cheaper or free option is enough. Read our full affiliate disclosure.
